Compression testing is most commonly performed as part of an ISTA Package Testing series. °ÄÃÅ2023È«ÄêÕý°æÃâ·Ñ×ÊÁÏ's product testing facilities include certified package testing labs by ISTA (International Safe Transit Association). Compression tests can be performed with temperature/humidity/pressure atmospheric pre-conditioning, prior to compression.

Compression testing, crush tests can also be used to determine behavior of materials under crushing loads or stackable weight limits. (Stacking load tests: dynamic and static). This can include plastics, composites, metals, concrete and even ceramics.

Other Common Compression/Crush Test Protocols Include:
  • UL 2054: Household and Commercial Batteries - Mechanical Tests, Crush Test
  • ASTM D642: Test Method for Determining Compressive Resistance of Shipping Containers, Components, and Unit Loads
  • TAPPI T 811 & 839: Edgewise Compressive Strength of Corrugated Fiberboard
